So The Sorcerer’s Spell is out on Friday 1 August. That’s like the day after tomorrow. OMG! There’s not too much out by way of reviews yet, but it’s quite exciting just the same.
At over 80,000 words, The Sorcerer’s Spell is a decent size. It’s my second paranormal novel out this year and set in a different universe to Bespelled: it also has a different publisher (Harpercollins Impulse)
It’s quite interesting that this book is coming out just when I’ve started working on a sequel, currently titled The Changling Curse. I’m quite enthusiastic about the new story. It’s always fresh and exciting to start a new story. Of course, what you put down in the first draft is never the amazing thing you expect it to be. It takes a lot of work to get it there.
I’m heading overseas in less than two weeks. Off to Loncon 3 (London, August) and also British Fantasy Con (York, September). We’ll be off for six weeks. Egads! That sounds like a long time but when we work out where we’re going it’s not long enough.
I will be working while travelling, but keeping it to essentials, such as answering emails and I have some edits coming (for the other me) so it’s important to get those done.
I will try to load up some piccies from the trip. Just to make you all green with envy.
And before I head overseas, I’ll be at RWA Conference in Sydney 8-10 August. I’m wearing my get up from New Orleans on Friday night for the leather and lace. I just have to find someone to help me with my corset! I’ll also be at the book signing so drop by and get a book mark, a usb or a pen…something!
